Paula Nystrom

Practice Overview

Paula comes to us from Ropers Majeski PC, in San Jose where she focused on business litigation in California state and Federal courts, including the California Court of Appeal and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, handling complex business disputes, as well as employment law and IP disputes. Prior to that, she was an associate with Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman, in Concord. Additionally, she was an IP extern with Shelton Law & Associates, a research assistant to Professor Mireles at McGeorge, and a judicial intern with Judge Zayner at the Santa Clara County Superior Court.

In her free time, Paula enjoys hiking, Hot Pilates, and participating in running events (5K, 10K, and she ran her first half-marathon at Disneyland in early 2025).

Background

Paula has a B.Sc. in Business Administration from San Jose State, and she earned her J.D.., at McGeorge School of Law, with certificates in intellectual property and business law.
