By Hoge Fenton | 10.3.2013 | Firm Post

On October 3, 2013, Jenn Protas was honored by the Santa Clara County Bar Association’s Diversity Committee, as one of the recipients of the “Unsung Heroes Award.”

This is Jenn’s second honor from the Santa Clara County Bar Association. She received the Barrister of the Year Award in 2011.

The “Unsung Heroes Award” is bestowed upon individuals who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of minorities in the legal profession. Nominations are solicited from SCCBA leadership, the LGBTQ and Women Lawyers Committees, the Asian Pacific Bar of Silicon Valley, the Santa Clara County Black Lawyers Association, and La Raza Lawyers Association of Santa Clara County.

Jenn was introduced by Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Julie Emede, after which Jenn spoke about her professional journey and the importance of continuing the efforts to increase diversity in the profession.

Christopher Arriola, Office of the District Attorney, was the other award recipient this year. Past honorees include many judges and well known leaders in the legal community.
