Tanya Cox is an associate in our Corporate practice group. Her practice focuses on counseling companies, start-ups and individuals with business transaction matters. Tanya advises clients on entity formations, corporate financing, corporate governance and general business representation. She is experienced in drafting business and commercial contracts, including intellectual property and licensing agreements, entity formation agreements, equity compensation agreements, non-disclosure agreements, buy-sell agreements, and various employment agreements and policies.
Prior to joining Hoge Fenton, Tanya practiced corporate law where she advised clients on business transactional matters and stock option and equity plans at Structure Law Group. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley in 2008 and her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2012 with a specialization in Business Law. During law school, she was an editor for the Environmental Law Journal, served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Roger L. Efremsky, was the President of the Corporate Law Student Group, and was a recipient of the Joseph R. and June B. Rensch Endowed Law Scholarship.
Tanya previously served on the Board of Directors of Ms. JD, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting the success of women in the legal profession, for several years.
