WHY: Because the GDPR mandates Accountability and demonstrating Compliance, large monetary fines of up to EUR 20 million or 4% of global annual revenues will be imposed on companies for non-compliance, and, GDPR enforcement begins in a few months on May 25, 2018.

||Marta Stephanian is part of Ten Holter Noodram’s data privacy & cybercrime team. She counsels clients on all aspects of current and future Dutch and European privacy laws.
