JOIN US for the 3rd part of our 3-part webinar series on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

WHO: All companies that have personal information of EU citizens or that conduct business in the EU, regardless of their home country.

WHY: Because the GDPR mandates Accountability and demonstrating Compliance, large monetary fines of up to EUR 20 million or 4% of global annual revenues will be imposed on companies for non-compliance, and, GDPR enforcement begins in a few months on May 25, 2018.

MODERATOR

Sherwin Yoder focuses on helping organizations mitigate data privacy and security risks and manage incident response and related litigation. Sherwin also counsels start-ups and emerging companies on their privacy and security obligations in designing and launching e-commerce sites, mobile applications, IoT devices, and other technologies or transactions involving the flow of data.

SPEAKERS

Frédéric Lecomte heads the IT/IP group at Stehlin & Associés in Paris. His team assists French and foreign clients in the drafting and negotiation of their contracts as well as in all French regulatory aspects in IT, IP and commercial law. The team regularly assists clients with French and EU regulatory issues in data safety, data processing, data storage and international transfers of data.

Henrik Nilsson has more than 15 years experience of commercial and regulatory law on areas such as IT, telecom, internet and e-commerce.  Henrick has worked at domestic and international law firms, at the Swedish Telecom and Competition authorities and at the Ministry of Communications.

Marta Stephanian is part of Ten Holter Noodram’s data privacy & cybercrime team.  She counsels clients on all aspects of current and future Dutch and European privacy laws.  Momentarily she focuses on creating awareness and aiding companies in implementing the General Data Protection Regulation.  For that purpose, she regularly publishes articles, organizes congresses, and provides workshops.
