Jessica Slater

Overview

With more than two decades of experience in law firm business development and marketing, Jessica partners closely with attorneys and firm leadership to elevate the firm’s market presence, strengthen its most important client relationships, and identify opportunities for long-term growth. Her experience includes business planning, targeted marketing initiatives, client-facing events, bespoke pitches and RFPs, thought leadership, and budget creation and management. Her perspective is uniquely shaped by her background as a practicing attorney, giving her a firsthand understanding of how lawyers think and work that is the foundation of everything she does.

Background

Before joining Hoge Fenton, Jessica held leadership roles at some of the most respected names in law, including Goodwin Procter, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, where she spent nearly 17 years driving revenue growth. A seasoned collaborator, Jess has consistently partnered with attorneys and firm leadership to enhance client relationships, identify emerging trends and opportunities, and develop strategic growth initiatives. 

Jess is known for connecting with people at every level of an organization with kindness and genuine curiosity. She brings calm and clarity to high-pressure situations and approaches every challenge as a tenacious learner committed to finding the right answer. Her expertise spans technology, life sciences, AI, and entertainment sectors, and she holds a J.D. with early career experience as an attorney in-house at Sony Pictures Entertainment and MGM.
