Hoge Fenton Welcomes our Newest Attorneys

Hoge Fenton is pleased to welcome attorneys Christen E. Bourne, Embert P. Madison, Jr., and Scott F. Stuart to the firm. “Hoge Fenton continues to grow based on our commitment to delivering excellent work to our clients. Christen E. Bourne is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Group. She has experience with actions arising out of business, real property, trust administration, and probate disputes.

Prior to joining Hoge Fenton, Christen was an associate at Rusconi, Foster & Thomas, APC, a boutique firm concentrating on trust and estate administration and litigation.

Embert P. Madison, Jr. is a real estate associate and his practice focuses on real estate, business transactions, and cannabis regulation. He has represented clients in commercial real estate transactions throughout California, Texas, and Florida.

Embert has extensive cannabis regulatory experience representing both local governments and private businesses. He has drafted cannabis business and zoning regulations for nine cities in Northern and Central California, and represented these entities during public hearings, private negotiations, and in cannabis related litigation.

As a trusted cannabis advisor, Embert has vetted dozens of cannabis businesses on behalf of municipal clients during the request for qualifications (RFQ) process. He also represents numerous cannabis businesses as outside general counsel.

Scott F. Stuart is a litigator who focuses on business and commercial disputes, emphasizing rights of privacy, including the right of publicity. He also handles insurance coverage disputes, representing policyholders in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.

Scott provides coverage analyses of personal lines and commercial lines policies, with an emphasis on helping policyholders obtain defense and indemnification under a variety of liability insurance products.
