Join Hoge Fenton Shareholder and Trust & Estate Litigation Chair Denise Chambliss for the Attorney Fee Awards to Trust Beneficiaries webinar on May 12, 2021, from 12-1pm. The webinar will highlight discussion of fee-shifting in probate proceedings under the equitable “substantial benefit” doctrine applied in the case of Smith v. Szeyller, which awarded recovery of their attorney’s fees from the trust to beneficiary who obtained only a non-monetary benefit (trustee compliance with the duty to account), and other potential arguments for beneficiary’s recovery of their litigation fees.
