Hoge Fenton shareholder Alison P. Buchanan will speak on a panel presented by the American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (ALI CLE), “Two Lawyers, One Client: Ethical Issues in Co-Counsel Relationships.” This program is eligible for ethics CLE credit.

Are you working with local counsel in another jurisdiction? Do you need assistance from an attorney with more specialized legal knowledge? Any attorney can find themselves sharing a client with another lawyer outside their firm. Such co-counsel relationships come with a variety of ethical issues and traps. This program will address those issues, the associated liabilities, and what the ethics rules and opinions say when two or more lawyers represent the same client.
