The State Bar of California’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct (COPRAC) is sponsoring the 17th annual Statewide Ethics Symposium, “ETHICS 2013: DOING GOOD, BEING BAD, GOING PUBLIC, BEING SAD”

Alison Buchanan will co-moderate one of the panels at the symposium. Panels topics include: ethical issues in pro bono representations; civility and the ethical bounds of aggressive lawyering; media, confidentiality and trial publicity; and lawyer mobility and law firm breakups.

The Symposium is a forum for California attorneys to participate in an interactive program discussing cutting edge issues confronting the professional responsibility area. Up to 6 hours of MCLE credit in Legal Ethics is available.

Previous symposiums have brought together members of local bar ethics committees, law professors, State Bar judges, prosecutors and respondents’ counsel, law firm ethics counsels, malpractice defense practitioners, members of the judiciary and ADR attorneys and neutrals.
