Lauren Cotton is an associate attorney in Hoge Fenton’s Corporate and Business Law Practice Group. Her practice focuses on assisting clients with the formation of business entities, drafting agreements, and negotiating deals. Lauren plans to specialize in mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, and nonprofit formations.
Lauren interned as a Summer Law Clerk with Hoge Fenton in 2018 before joining full time in 2020. Prior to joining Hoge Fenton, Lauren gained experience as a Legal Intern at Looker Data Sciences Inc. (acquired by Google), where she drafted and reviewed Data Processing Addendums (DPAs), End User Licensing Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements. In addition, Lauren was a Legal Intern at the Silicon Valley Law Group, where she drafted various agreements and conducted legal research that included environmental and real estate law.
Lauren received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law. During law school, Lauren was an Advisor to the Black Law Students Association as well as a Board Member of the Wellness Task Force. Lauren earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a B.A. in American Studies/Global Economics.
