Practice Overview

Cyndi Claxton is a versatile business litigator with federal and state court experience. Her practice includes patent litigation, trade secrets, unfair competition, contract claims, and construction defects. Cyndi is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Group and is a California-licensed attorney admitted to practice in all California District Courts as well as the Western District of Texas.

Background

Cyndi began her career as a litigation associate at Robinson & Wood. Her legal practice started in general civil litigation, handling a wide range of matters from trade secrets to defamation to construction defect cases.

Cyndi has a breadth of experience spanning the representation of clients from individuals to start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. For instance, in the years immediately prior to joining the firm, Cyndi specialized in patent infringement and trade secrets lawsuits involving medical device and biotech companies. She was an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate at Turner Boyd LLP, and, while there, represented leading manufacturers of CPUs and semiconductors. Cyndi’s representation also included an iconic Silicon Valley technology pioneer in motion to dismiss resulting in a favorable settlement as well as cloud computing-based business phone system company resulting in dismissal.
