Meet Our 2023 Summer Clerks

Hoge Fenton is delighted to introduce our 2023 summer clerks, Rishita Mehta and Kabir Shahi from the Santa Clara County Bar Association’s Bay Area Minority Summer Clerkship Program (BAMSCP). Shareholder Sean Cottle, member of our Real Estate Practice Group, is managing the program and supervising our summer clerks.
Rishita Mehta is finishing her first year at the University of California, Davis, School of Law, where she participates in the Social Justice Law Review. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in American Politics, and a minor in Law and Society. Prior to law school, she worked for a year and a half as a litigation support specialist at a law firm in downtown San Jose. Rishita grew up in Cupertino and speaks Gujarati, Hindi, and Spanish. In her spare time, she likes to play the piano, cook vegan food and is a Minesweeper enthusiast. Business Litigation Attorney Laura Riparbelli is mentoring Rishita.
Kabir Shahi is finishing his first year at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly known as U.C. Hastings), where he participates in the Business Law Society and is the 1L Representative for the Sikh Law Association. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with an individualized concentration in Business Administration and Psychology. After graduating, Kabir solo traveled to 18 countries and worked at a winery. He grew up in Danville and speaks Punjabi, Hindi, and Spanish. In his free time, Kabir enjoys training for triathlons, photography, and watching stand-up comedy. Intellectual Property and Data Privacy Litigation Attorney Remington Lenton-Young is mentoring Kabir.
