Practice Overview Julian Zegelman is an associate in the firm’s Business & Tax and Intellectual Property Groups. His practice focuses on assisting clients with their diverse business needs, including entity formation, mergers & acquisitions, strategic alliances, divestitures, private securities offerings, equity and debt financing, corporate governance and compliance, intellectual property protection and transfer, licensing, and non-profit exemption applications and organization compliance. Julian’s clients range from privately held companies to nonprofit organizations to individual business owners, including emerging growth and established biotechnology, life sciences, nanotechnology, high tech, manufacturing, e-commerce, and academic organizations. Julian’s technical background in biochemistry along with his previous patent prosecution experience make him a very valued resource for his business and technology clients. Representative Matters
Professional Activities At Minnesota Law School, Julian served on the Minnesota Intellectual Property Review. He currently serves as Director of Corporate Partnerships for NanoBioNexus, Inc., a nonprofit nanotechnology industry group. He also is an active member of the American Business Association of Russian Professionals, American Bar Association, San Diego County Bar Association, and Santa Clara County Bar Association. Julian regularly writes and lectures on legal and scientific topics related to intellectual property, nanotechnology, and biotechnology. Julian is an active member of INTA - the International Trademark Association - and was selected to serve on its Courts & Tribunals Subcommittee of the Enforcement Committee for 2008-2009. Admissions Julian Zegelman is admitted to practice in all California courts.
