Practice Overview

Jenn is an associate in the firm's Employment Group.  She focuses on matters related to employment practices, including wage & hour advice and litigation, employee leave issues, and drafting employer policies and handbooks, as well as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender litigation.

Background

Jenn graduated with distinction from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law.  She was a member of Order of the Coif, a national law school honor society dedicated to legal scholarship and the advancement of ethical standards in the legal profession.  Jenn was a member of the distinguished McGeorge Law Review, serving on its Comment Staff in 2005-06 and as Primary Comment Editor in 2006-07.  She also received honors in Trial Advocacy and was a member of the Lambda Law Students Association, serving as Secretary in 2005-06 and Vice President in 2006-07.

Prior to her admission to the California Bar, Jenn interned at the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund where her work focused on employment and transgender discrimination, protections for same sex couples, family law, domestic partnership benefits, and reproductive rights.  As a summer associate at Hoge Fenton Jones & Appel, she worked in all aspects of employment law and civil litigation.

Professional Activities and Admissions

Jenn is admitted to practice law in all California courts and the United States District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.  She is an active member of Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom and the Rainbow Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and the author of Divesting from ‘The Apartheid of the Closet’: Toward an Enriched Legal Discourse of Sexual and Gender Identity” (2007)38 McGeorge L.Rev. 571.
