Practice Overview
Natasha Parrett limits her practice to family law. She is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses on complex marital dissolutions, particularly those involving large assets and complex financial, business, child custody, and legal issues. Natasha began her legal career in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps for the United States Navy, first as a trial defense lawyer handling bench and jury trials in serious criminal cases, then as a Federal Tort Claims attorney defending the U.S. against such claims as wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury and property damage. Finally, Natasha served as the JAG Corps’ Claims Department Head, supervising the largest claims department in the U.S. Navy and overseeing the handling of claims filed under the Federal Tort Claims, Military Claims, Medical Care Recovery, Federal Claims Collection, and Military Personnel and Civilian Employee Claims Acts. After an Honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy Natasha went on to work for the New York City Administration for Children’s Services as a litigator in the Manhattan Family Court. She was responsible for representing the City of New York in serious child abuse and neglect cases. She served as a consulting attorney to the Division of Child Protection and supervised a team of attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and litigation. Professional Activities and Admissions
