We are pleased to congratulate Natasha M. Parrett and Michael T. Bonetto on becoming Certified Specialists in Family Law as conferred by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

Only a small percentage of California family law practitioners have achieved the Certified Specialist designation. To become a Certified Specialist, a lawyer must have years of experience, have conducted a specific number of trials, hearing, settlements and mediations, pass a rigorous full-day examination, and complete more than 45 hours of family law-specific continuing education every three years. In addition, the lawyer must be favorably evaluated by other attorneys and/or judges who are familiar with his or her work.

Hoge Fenton’s family law attorneys exclusively practice family law. Chair of the firm’s family law group, Parrett is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses on complex marital dissolutions, particularly those involving large assets and complex financial estates. She also has been recognized as a “Northern California Rising Star” as chosen by her peers and through the independent research of Law and Politics and San Francisco Magazine. “We are proud of this accomplishment,” commented Parrett. “It demonstrates that we are dedicated and committed to the practice of family law — and nothing but family law. We believe the State Bar’s certification process provides a potential client with an assurance that he or she has hired an attorney who is highly trained and well qualified to handle his or her matter.”

Bonetto is a senior associate who has exclusively practiced family law since his admission to the bar. His clients appreciate the fact that he handles each of his family law matters with compassion and an analytical approach, while aggressively advocating to advance their cases through trial when necessary.

Managing shareholder Daniel W. Ballesteros said, “We congratulate Natasha and Michael on this well-deserved achievement. They are tireless advocates and skilled lawyers in this most emotional of practice areas. Their certification is another example of the firm’s commitment to excellence in the practice of law.”
