Jeanine DeBacker
Jeanine DeBacker has joined Hoge Fenton’s Employment Law Group
Jeanine is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law (J.D.) and Wellesley College (B.A.). Just prior to joining Hoge Fenton she was a partner at the Wendel Rosen firm in Oakland, California.
Jeanine is an experienced employment law litigator who uses her courtroom experience to help employers prevent litigation through well-crafted policies, staff trainings, and informal dispute resolution. She both counsels businesses on human resource and employment law issues and defends them in sexual harassment, race and age discrimination, wrongful discharge, wage and hour, bonus and commission, and other employment and compensation related claims.
A member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, Jeanine also represents qualified retirement plans, 401(k) plans, and multi-employer pension and welfare plans in litigation and before government agencies. She works with clients regarding plan administration, qualification and participant communication, and handles Department of Labor and IRS controversies and ERISA litigation.
