We are pleased to announce that Denise E. Chambliss has joined our firm

Denise Chambliss, a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses her practice on elder law, including trust and estate litigation and financial elder abuse. She is also an experienced commercial litigator, handling disputes involving corporate and partnership issues, unfair competition, trade secrets, commercial real estate, contracts, and business fraud at both the trial and appellate court levels. While based primarily in the firm’s Tri-Valley office, Denise also will occasionally work from its headquarters in Silicon Valley.

Prior to joining Hoge Fenton, Denise practiced at the firms of Garcia & Gurney in Pleasanton and Doyle & Associates in Walnut Creek. She received her B.A. in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Houston, and her J.D. from South Texas College of Law. During law school she interned for Hon. Marcia Crone, U.S. District Court Magistrate for the Southern District of Texas, and for Hon. Patricia Hancock, Harris County District Court in Houston, Texas. She also served as Assistant Editor on the South Texas Law Review.

Denise is very committed to a number of professional and community organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Tri-Valley. Last year she volunteered in animal care at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, where she helped rescue and rehabilitate newborn elephant seals and sea lions during the Center’s record-breaking busiest pup season ever. She is proud that she did not earn the sea lion bite scar which many volunteers acquire.

Denise is also very active in the Alameda County Bar Association. She served with special recognition as Chair of the ACBA Trial Section last year, and this year began a two-year term as a Director of the ACBA. She is also a member of the Santa Clara and Contra Costa County Bar Associations.

We hope you have an opportunity to meet Denise Chambliss soon. Please feel free to contact Denise or any member of our Litigation Practice Group directly.
