Practice Overview

John F. Doyle practices in the firm’s Real Estate and Business & Tax Groups.  He represents landowners, business owners, developers, and builders in purchase and sale transactions, commercial leasing, construction, developer fee matters, land use entitlement issues, and general business matters.

Mr. Doyle is among the core group of Tri-Valley based attorneys who launched the firm’s Pleasanton office in 1999.  As a long-time resident of the Tri-Valley, Mr. Doyle brings an in-depth understanding of the local issues and trends affecting the real estate development community.

Recent Representative Matters

  • Representation of numerous owners, developers, and builders in a variety of real estate-related matters, including purchase and sale, land acquisition, land use/entitlement, infrastructure cost-sharing, developer fees, project advocacy, and construction.
  • Representation of a regional developer in connection with a
    large San Joaquin Valley project involving a regional business park and adjacent residential component.  Includes coordination of approvals and satisfaction of related conditions with the county, local community services district, co-developers, other agencies, and purchasers; acting as developer’s primary counsel in interaction with governmental agencies and co-developers, including negotiation and drafting of development agreements, infrastructure cost-sharing agreements, infrastructure relocation agreement, reimbursement & acquisition agreement,
    and CC & Rs.

Professional Activities

Mr. Doyle is a member of the Alameda County, Contra Costa County, and East Alameda County Bar Associations.  He also is an active member of the Real Property Section of the California State Bar.  He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directorss of the Tri-Valley Business Council and also is the firm’s representative to the Home Builder’s Association of Northern California and the Danville Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Doyle is admitted to practice law in all California Courts and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
