John F. Doyle’s practice focuses on Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions and Intellectual Property Law. He assists his business clients with a broad range of commercial matters, including global and domestic purchase and sale transactions of all types, equipment leases, technology licensing, vendor, supply and manufacturing agreements, and real estate leasing and construction. John makes it his business to understand his clients’ businesses and to provide them with cost-effective solutions. They appreciate his responsiveness and his holistic approach to handling their critical transactions.

- Represented a technology company in the formation of an entity composed of a $30 million network of existing distributors
- $24 million merger of two biofuels producers
- $16 million acquisition of a distributor by a technology company (represented acquiror)
- Acquisition of an Italian company, including significant real property holdings, by a global technology company (represented acquiror)
- Acquisition of a Finnish software development company by a technology company (represented acquiror)
- Ongoing representation of the leading precision global GPS company in significant domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, financing, entity selection and formation; and joint development, OEM, distribution, software development, and software licensing agreements
- Negotiation and drafting of numerous cross-border supply and distribution agreements, including between companies in the U.S. and Australia, Taiwan, Canada, China and Russia
- Negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts and clinical trials agreements for a significant pharmaceutical company
Professional Activities
John is a member of the Alameda County, Contra Costa County, and East Alameda County Bar Associations. He also is an active member of the Real Property Section of the California State Bar. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tri-Valley Business Council.
