Attorney Positions

Hoge Fenton is growing!  We are actively recruiting for several attorney positions.  We place a high value on exceptional lawyering and writing skills, attention to detail, collegiality, and demonstrated commitment to the firm and the community.  

Generally, our hours expectation is 1,750.  We encourage collaborative work and collaborative business development activity, both within practice teams and across teams within the firm.  

Lateral level lawyers must have demonstrated ability to generate new business and a partial, portable book of business.

  • Employment Law Litigation and Advice/Counsel.  Seeking an experienced lateral with a portable book of business and/or a 2-4 year associate with some California employment law experience.  This collaborative team is very active in public speaking, presenting seminars, authoring articles and e-blasts, and networking.  We would expect any addition to the team to be so motivated.  An experienced lateral may be based in either office; an associate will be based primarily in San Jose.
  • Family Law.  Seeking an experienced lateral with a portable book of business and/or a 2-5 year associate for family law litigation.  Our busy team focuses on complex dissolutions and high asset estates.  California family law knowledge, outstanding litigation, and people skills are required.  This position is based primarily in San Jose, although travel to our Pleasanton office may be necessary.
  • Real Estate Transactions/Litigation.  Seeking an experienced lateral with a portable book of business and/or 2-5 year associate for real estate transactions (purchase, sale, property development, leasing) and/or litigation (breach of contract, fraud, broker liability, partition, boundary disputes).  This position is based primarily in our San Jose office, although travel to our Pleasanton office may be necessary.
  • Outstanding Litigation Associates.  Seeking motivated, energetic and committed 1-3 year associates with exceptional skills in research, writing, analysis, and attention to detail.  The right candidate(s) will have the opportunity to grow with one of our practice teams, including privacy/data security, intellectual property litigation, commercial litigation, casualty and catastrophic personal injury, and professional liability.
  • Outstanding Experienced Laterals.  We are always looking to add experienced, highly skilled lawyers (all practice areas) who share our values.  You must have at least a partial, portable book of business.
