Practice Overview

Nanako Bennette is an associate in the firm’s San Jose office, where she focuses on real estate and construction litigation matters. She represents contractors, subcontractors, other local and national businesses, and individuals in all aspects of their business-related disputes.

Ms. Bennette received her law degree from Santa Clara University, where she was the recipient of the “Best Oral Advocate” Award in Appellate Advocacy.  She also externed with Magistrate Judge Richard Seeborg in the United States District Court, Northern District of California.


Representative Matters

  • Representation of several construction subcontractors in actions to enforce stop notices and mechanic’s liens, breach of contract, and other related matters

  • Defense of a real estate licensee against a claim arising out of a real estate transaction involving property in foreclosure

  • Representation of a national construction equipment supplier in litigation involving alleged breach of contract

  • Representation of a staffing agency in a construction labor dispute

  • Defense of a local business against a claim of personal injury

Admissions and Professional Activities

Ms. Bennette is admitted to practice law in all California courts, and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. She is an active member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and has served as a mock trial coach at Mountain View High School.
